Is the apron stiff when new?
Yes. Premium waxed canvas is intentionally stiff when new because the wax coating provides superior durability, abrasion resistance and moisture protection. After a few shop sessions, the canvas begins to soften, conforming to your body while retaining the rugged protection that makes waxed canvas so popular.

How do I break in my waxed canvas apron?
The best way to break in your apron is simply to wear it while you work. As the canvas flexes with normal movement, it naturally becomes softer and more comfortable while developing a unique vintage patina. If you'd like to speed up the process, you can:

• Roll and unroll the apron several times.
• Flex the shoulder straps and other high-movement areas by hand.
• Wear it during a few shop sessions to allow it to conform naturally to your body.

Can I wash the apron?
No. Because the fabric is waxed to provide water resistance, machine washing is not recommended. Instead, brush away dust and debris and spot-clean with a damp cloth as needed. To maintain the protective finish over time, the apron can also be rewaxed as needed.
