Rockler Handle Groove Router Bit

Installed in your router table, this carbide-tipped bit will let you rout grooves or coves in the ends or edges of your cutting board projects to create recessed handles. Raise the bit high to rout its full upper and lower profile into cutting boards that are at least 1'' thick. Or set the bit low so only part of the cutting profile is above the table to create recesses that open into the cutting board's bottom face and form a cove shape. The corners of the cutters have 1/4'' radii to create curved contours that are comfortable and easy to grasp. Three interchangeable pilot bearings add even more versatility. With the 5/8''-diameter bearing installed, the bit will produce 1/2''-deep recesses. The 7/8''-diameter bearing creates 3/8''-deep recesses, and the 1-1/8''-diameter bearing mills 1/4''-deep recesses.
