A juice groove makes any cutting board better, but routing the groove can leave burn marks or torn grain that's difficult to remove with sandpaper. Our handy Juice Groove Scraper will make the task much easier! Made of 1/8''-thick steel, its ends are shaped to 3/8'' and 1/2'' radii and sharpened with 70° bevels. To use the scraper, hold the tool vertically and support the lower end with a finger as you draw the sharp edge along the groove to shear away irregularities. When the time comes for resharpening, rub the top (wider) faces of the scraper flat against a fine-grit sharpening stone and polish with a leather strop.
