Rockler Deluxe Spline Jig

Add flair to the mitered corners of your box or frame projects—and strengthen the joints in the process—with our Deluxe Spline Jig! It features an aluminum miter bar that fits standard 3/4'' x 3/8'' miter slots and a sled that holds your workpiece at a 45° angle as you guide it smoothly through the cutter. Unlike other spline jigs on the market, our design lets you adjust the jig to suit a wide range of spacing between the center of the miter slot and the center of the cutter. This flexibility lets you use the jig on both your table saw and router table for expanded versatility. The jig's adjustable fences act as stops to position your workpiece—one setting can cut all four slots for a frame or eight slots for a box.

Here's a chance to explore many creative joint-making possibilities! You can produce different spline geometries with various router bits—straight, V-groove, dovetail and more. Try a combination of square and tilted table saw kerfs for a different distinctive effect. • Works on both table saws and router tables with standard 3/4'' x 3/8'' miter slots that are between 4-1/4'' and 7-5/8'' from the center of cut
• Allows you to use different router bit shapes to machine grooves or to tilt the saw blade for angled splines
• Durable, glass-reinforced plastic main body incorporates steel support plates for increased rigidity and is bolted to flat, smooth plastic plates that glide on tabletop
• Aluminum miter bar features adjustable tension blocks so you can achieve a smooth, no-slop fit in miter slot
• Replaceable MDF Zero-Clearance Inserts support box or frame corners where they exit the cutter to help reduce tearout; five inserts are included
• Zero-Clearance Inserts also make it easier to see and set cutter height
• Sturdy, glass-reinforced plastic fences adjust along a 9'' range and secure with knurled knobs to sandwich boxes or frames and help hold them in place
• Fences also feature countersunk mounting holes for attaching taller shop-made fences for supporting larger projects—or fences can be removed, if necessary
• Adjustable centerline indicators help you line up the cut
• Included miter stop with Easy-to-Grip Five-Star Knob locks in miter slot to prevent pushing the jig too far past cutter
• Clear plastic cutter guard on trailing end of jig helps keep hands away from cutters
